Parking:I would like to re mind everyone to please only park on my side if the street directly in front of my house.My elderly neighbor is very grumpy if anyone parks on his side.

Today we had quite a bit of fun with our new concept of impulse. Impulse is the amount of time a force is applied to something. The more impulse something receives, the more its momentum changes. To show this, we went outside and shot spitballs! The farther back the spitball was in the straw, the farther away the spitball flew!
We also did the famous egg drop to illustrate how force can be effected by time and by momentum.
Homework for this week is to answer the following questions.
1. In your own words, describe to me what shooting spitballs has to do with impulse?
2. Use the concept of impulse to explain why it's so important to follow through when doing some sort of a sporting activity.
3. During the egg drop activity, you used several strategies to try to keep your egg from breaking. List three of those strategies and tell me what they had to do with impulse and momentum.
4. Take two pictures showing impulse changing momentum. Write a sentence or two to tell me how the pictures show this.
