Today we spent a bit more time with Newton's Second Law and used it to get into the concept of terminal velocity. With that in mind, I gave the students a challenge to create an object that had the slowest terminal velocity. In other words, something that fell as slowly as possible. Several great contraptions were created with the slowest taking a little less than 3 seconds to go from the ceiling to the floor.
Homework for next week is to find examples of some of our physics concepts "in the wild". In other words, find real life examples of the following concepts and take 2 pictures of each. Feel free to print them out or email me the photos. Have fun!
